Produced in France around 1860-80 by Samson of Paris.
An antique Meissen style hand painted, gold gilded & ormolu metal fine porcelain covered container decorated with several kinds of floral designs. There are reticulated sections at the lid’s handle and between the lid and the body that gives a flowery ambience for this piece. Marked at the bottom of container with blue cross swords and “S” over the glaze, indicating the Samson maker.
Excellent condition as an antique item with no chips or cracks. Some gold gilding on the metal parts of the handles and feet are faded from the passage of time.
