A young boy is practicing his archery skills and has hit the centre of the “mato” which refers to a target used in kyudo and other Japanese archery arts. A colourful print depicting scenes from the peaceful daily lives of the upper-class people. The use of empty space within a picture is a Japanese aesthetic style which is evident in this piece. This Triptych has been glued to showcase the full view beautifully.
